The championship was banned by Australia and they also set a record of winning twenty nine consecutive world cup matches, The leading run scorer of this world cup series was Hyden an Australian player with six hundred and fifty nine runs , the leading wicket taker of this world cup series was Glenn McGrath with twenty six wickets who had also banned the title of man of the series, totally this world cup series was like made for Australians.
